We offer Sequence Batch Reactor (SBR)
to our clients to fulfil their water treatment needs.
Sequence Batch Reactor (SBR) process utilizes a full – and – draw reactor with complete mixing during the batch reaction step and where the subsequent steps of aeration and clarification occur in the same tank.
In an SBR operation, sludge wasting usually occurs during the reaction phase ,so that a uniform discharge of solids occurs. A unique feature of the SBR system is that there is no need for the Return Activated Sludge (RAS) system. Since, both aeration and settling occurs in the same chamber, no sludge is lost in the reaction step and none has to be returned to maintain the solids content in the aeration chamber. The system involves 5 steps in common, which are carried out in sequence as follows:
- Filling of influent
- Reaction of influent(aeration)
- Settling process(sedimentation/clarification)
- Drawing(decantation process)
